Meet the Chefs

Jennifer Iserloh

Chef Jennifer Iserloh launched her company Skinny Chef in 2003 with a mission to show families that healthy cooking can be fresh, fun, and flavorful. She combined her culinary training from the Institute of Culinary Education with expertise in nutrition and a passion for promoting healthful lifestyles. Chef Iserloh has published cookbooks and appeared in wholesome cooking features across television, print, and digital. In addition, she keeps busy with recipe development projects, food styling, and consulting.

Chris DeBarr

Chef Chris DeBarr worked in the kitchens of several well-known New Orleans, LA establishments before striking out on his own. Centering his global, whimsical style of food, he opened two restaurants: Green Goddess (2008-2021) and Serendipity (2012-2014?). When he left to open his second restaurant, Chef DeBarr left Green Goddess in the hands of his co-founder, Chef Paul Artigues, where it continued to thrive. Not long after opening Serendipity, health issues forced him to depart the venture and personally relocate to Houston, TX. Chef DeBarr returned to NOLA in 2016 and spent several years in the kitchen of Revel Cafe & Bar. Now, he is the executive chef at the Foundation Room of the House of Blues New Orleans. In 2022, he also started a new personal side venture, Lit Kitchen, as an umbrella for cookbook writing and hosting pop-up and secret supper club dining events.

Gason Nelson

Chef Gason Nelson started his culinary career in the Army, where he served as cook. After leaving the service and attending culinary school, he established his own private chef and catering services company, Full of Flavor, in 2000. For several seasons in then-NFL player Reggie Bush’s early career with the New Orleans Saints, Nelson worked as his personal chef. Today, Chef Nelson is a highly successful private chef who has worked with an impressive roster of professional athletes, celebrity clients, and brands. In addition to competing on Chopped in 2012, he is frequently seen on the culinary stage doing cooking demos at food festivals and in media features. Outside the kitchen, he sits on the board of directors for Breaking the Chains Foundation whose mission is preventing stigmas around body-focused and mental health struggles.

Scott Pajak

Chef Scott Pajak spent a significant portion of his career working in the kitchens of Emeril Lagasse-associated restaurants in Las Vegas, NV. Lagasse’s Stadium, where Pajak was the chef de cuisine, permanently closed in 2020 due to the pandemic. He moved on to an executive chef and culinary director role with the company that owns the Rainbow Club Casino and Emerald Club Casino in Henderson, NV. There, Chef Pajak has launched his own concept, Triple B - Brooks Brothers Burgers, serving a new iteration of his elevated comfort food style.
